5 Ways Bondassage® Differs from BDSM

You may be interested in BDSM and wonder how Bondassage® differs. Or you may want nothing to do with BDSM so you wonder if Bondassage® is different.

There are many similarities between Bondassage® and BDSM (which I will cover in the next Blog) but there are also many differences that are good to be aware of before deciding to try a Bondassage session.

Firstly, what is Bondassage®?

Bondassage is a sensory journey for the body which includes an assortment of different sensory objects to tease and tantalize the body. It utilizes restraints to allow for ultimate surrender as well as a blindfold and headphones for transcendent sensory deprivation. Within the 90-minute session, you will experience intense pleasure, gentle pain and lots of edging.

Now, what are the Top 5 differences between BDSM and Bondassage®?

  1. Massage Table: Bondassage® is experienced on a massage table allowing for ultimate surrender and relaxation, whereas BDSM may be experienced on a bed, on your knees, cuffed to a wall or any number of positions.

  2. Sensory Deprivation: Bondassage® harnesses the power of sensory deprivation for added sensation and heightened pleasure, whereas BDSM is usually very interactive. Bondassage® is a silent inner experience (besides the music). You may receive some verbal instructions and commands in the beginning but beyond that, you will not receive any verbal humiliation, degradation or harsh commands. With the use of a blindfold and headphones, this allows for an incredible inner journey.

  3. Empowering: Bondassage® is designed for an experience of ultimate release and surrender to empower you and help you let go. The power exchange in Bondassage® is only meant to give you permission to completely let go, knowing you are in good hands. It is never meant to disempower you or make you feel small or unsafe in any way.

  4. Sensory: Bondassage® focuses on the body by creating an inner sensory experience. BDSM can often be very flashy with its outfits and fancy whips. While I still may be wearing a badass outfit and while I do have some pretty awesome whips, the focus of Bondassage® is how it feels on the body, not what it looks like on the outside. So you never know what you will be feeling next, it could be a fancy paddle or it could be any number of, what we call ‘Pervertables’ (regular household items turned erotic. i.e. electronic toothbrushes).

  5. Pleasure: Bondassage® focuses on blurring the lines between pleasure and pain, so unless you specify beforehand, you will never be pushed beyond your limit. Some people may be turned off by the idea of being hurt or having marks left on them, which can often happen in BDSM scenes. But the focus in Bondassage® is much more about pleasure than pain and again, unless you tell me that’s what you want, you will leave filled with pleasure and not with painful marks.

So whether Bondassage® interests you because of BDSM or turns you off because of BDSM, you can see that it is a unique experience in its own right and can be tons of fun for almost anyone! So why not give it a try? What have you got to lose…except all of your inhibitions!
